Loading ...LG Mobile has partnered with Autodesk and crowdSPRING to announce its 3rd Annual Design the Future Competition, which asks professional or amateur designers to design a possible “next revolutionary LG mobile phone.”
The competition has prizes of more than ,000 in cash and there will be more than 40 winners.
The big prize consists of ,000 in cash, Autodesk industrial design software, and a Wacom Intuos4 medium tablet. Winner of the second place will receive ,000 and Autodesk SketchBook Pro software, while the winner of the third place will get ,000 and Autodesk SketchBook Pro software. Other 37 winners will receive honorable mentions consisting of ,000 each.
There will also be a Prop Master’s Choice award judged by Russell Bobbitt (who worked on films like Charlie’s Angels, Star Trek 2009 and Iron Man). The winner will receive ,000 and Autodesk SketchBook Pro software, and its LG phone concept “will be created into a non-working mock-up that could wind up in Bobbitt’s next blockbuster film.”
Entries are accepted until April 26 inclusive. Unfortunately, like last year, the competition in open only to US citizens over 18.
