Google intros Gesture Search for Android

Google has launched a new application for Android (version 2.0 or newer) devices, called Gesture Search.

Google Gesture Search allows Android users to easily find info stored on their smartphones (contacts, installed apps, music tracks, bookmarks), by “drawing alphabet gestures on the touch screen.”

For example, if you want to call someone named Jane, or find a song from Janis Joplin, you have to open the Gesture Search app and draw the letter “J” – a list of items that have words starting with J will be returned.

To download Gesture Search on your Android phone go to the Android Market, or scan this QR code. Note that the application only supports English for the moment.
