Flying the friendly skies lost most of its glamour around the time of shoe scanning, but that doesn’t make it acceptable to turn up in a sweatsuit and trainers—especially if you’re angling for an upgrade. Take a cue from Charlize Theron, who managed to look polished after a half-day journey from LAX to Charles de Gaulle (which, we hear from Just Jared also included a two-hour delay and an extended wait at baggage claim). A trench coat is an ideal topper when commuting between two climates, while a beret and wraparound shades hide any evidence of a long nap. Toss your belongings in an oversized leather tote—Theron’s is Dior—and you could pass for a jet-setter. What do you think?
